Constitution Party Opposes Sotomayor Confirmation

The Constitution Party National Committee unanimously passed a resolution urging the U.S. Senate to deny the confirmation of President Obama’s pick for the Supreme Court, 2nd Cir. Appeals Court Judge Sonia Sotomayor. The resolution was agreed upon at the party’s recent National Committee Meeting held in Newark, N.J. The resolution cites Sotomayor’s lack of fidelity to the Constitution in a number of areas including her denial of “ the applicability of the individual right to bear arms protected by the 2nd Amendment to the citizens of the several states;” because “she supports giving voting rights to convicted murderers who are still serving time in prison…”; because “ she has been a member of the National Council of La Raza, many of the leaders of which favor amnesty for illegal aliens and the return of the southwest United States to Mexico…” and because “she favors racial and ethnic quotas in education and employment…”

Americans Renew Call for Third Party

http://www.gallup.com/poll/143051/Americans-Renew-Call-Third-Party.aspx
In Your View, Do the Republican and Democratic Parties Do an Adequate Job of Representing the American People, or Do They Do Such a Poor Job That a Third Major Party Is Needed?
Americans' desires for a third political party are as high as they have been in seven years. Fifty-eight percent of Americans believe a third major political party is needed because the Republican and Democratic Parties do a poor job of representing the American people. That is a significant increase from 2008 and ties the high Gallup has recorded for this measure since 2003.
Though the rise in support for a third party could be linked to the Tea Party movement, Tea Party supporters are just about average in terms of wanting to see a third party created. Sixty-two percent of those who describe themselves as Tea Party supporters would like a third major party formed, but so do 59% of those who are neutral toward the Tea Party movement. Tea Party opponents are somewhat less likely to see the need for a third party.

Comment: I think we should have a third party. It might changes things around and change can be good.

US Chamber’s Bruce Josten: Tea Party Could Marginalize Republican Candidates in Mid-Terms

Bruce Josten, executive vice president for Government Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, made a return appearance on Neal Asbury’s “Truth for America.” Josten characterized this upcoming election as “the most unpredictable in modern history. We have an angry electorate that doesn’t feel good about this country. They are rightfully concerned about the past two years,” said Josten.

Commrnt: Bruce Josten is right about the things he said. He is also right about that the public disapproves of the health plan and they recognize that the recovery plan has failed to create jobs. The health plan haven't made any jobs.

The Election results!

http://www.keenobservers.com/5247/california-recent-proposition-19-results-and-2010-california-election-results/

Jerry Brown is the governor of California and also proposition 19 didn't pass.
Also these are the propositions that got passed
http://www.sacbee.com/2010/11/01/3150276/california-propositions-results.html

I'm happy that Jerry Brown got elected, because he actually explained his plans and what he is going to do. Whitmen didn't explain anything and she just kept saying we need a better plan.
Also I got disappointment when prop 19 didn't get passed because it could have helped California's economy and we could have come out of the debts.

New poll shows Brown opening up 8-point lead over Whitman

http://www.mercurynews.com/elections/ci_16390289?nclick_check=1

Jerry Brown a significant lead in the governor's race with less than two weeks to go, according to a new poll. The former two-time governor has stretched his lead over Republican Whitman to 8 points, 44 percent to 36 percent among likely voters -- Brown's widest margin yet -- after they were tied a month ago, according to a survey by the Public Policy Institute of California.

Comment: It looks like Jerry Brown is going to win the election. I think he is going to win because in his past debates he had more and specific plans for how to make the economy in California better. But Whitman just said we have to find a better plan, she didn't give any specific things for her plan. It looked like that she did not even have plan for this problem.

Elections California NOW Chief: Calling Whitman a 'Whore' is Accurate

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/10/15/california-chief-says-whitman-whore/

Jerry brown called Whitman a whore.

The president of the National Organization for Women may have said it's wrong for anyone to call a woman a "whore," but the head of the California NOW affiliate says Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is one.

California NOW President Parry Bellasalma told the TPM blog on Thursday that the description of the Republican candidate for governor of California is accurate.

comment: this was really funny and Brown might hurt his election race. because some people said that this is sexiest and uncalled for.

41Obama notes private sector job growth, rips GOP414Obama notes private sector job growth, rips GOP

Obama gave a good spin on the Labor Department's new job report, noting the country has now had nine straight months of private sector job growth. The economy lost 95,000 jobs in September, though the private sector added 64,000 jobs. The nation's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 9.6 percent.

"We have to keep doing everything we can to accelerate this economy," President Obama said Friday.

Compliment: I don't think Obama should just blame the U.S. Census and state and local government. Because he is the one that said he will fix this problem and he haven't fixed anything and I don't think he is in a position to blame others. But its good that the country has nine straight months of private sector job growth.

Summary:

GOP gubernatorial candidate says she fired her maid of nine years after learning she was in the country illegally. The woman says she felt like she was being thrown away 'like a piece of garbage.'California Republican gubernatorial nominee Meg Whitman acknowledged Wednesday that she paid an undocumented worker to clean her residence and provide other services in her home for nine years but insisted that she had been unaware of the woman's immigration status.

Comment:
I think this is really wrong to do. When you have a worker that is working for you for 9 years and then just fire the worker, specially in this hard and difficult financial time. This is really unfair and cruel also The controversy poses potential threats to Whitman's campaign.

Obama: Ahmadinejad's speech 'offensive' and 'hateful'

http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/09/24/un.ahmadinejad.remarks/index.html?hpt=T1President Obama, in a BBC interview, called remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "inexcusable."
Summary:
Iran's president, Mahmood Ahmadinejad, blamed the terrorist attack in September 11, 2001 on U.S. U.S president, Obama, Said that "Well, it was offensive. It was hateful," in part of an interview with BBC Persian released by the White House. He also said "And particularly for him to make the statement here in Manhattan, just a little north of ground zero, where families lost their loved ones -- people of all faiths, all ethnicities who see this as the seminal tragedy of this generation -- for him to make a statement like that was inexcusable,". The British Deputy Prime Minister said that the president of Iran tried to distract the U.N and the world from Iranian issues that generate media headlines.

Commentary: By doing this Bizarre statements that the president of Iran is making, its not going to make the relationship better. Also this statement doesn't make any sens. Why would U.S do this to it self. Also U.S wont kill there own people and terrorize them.
